Emeritus Professor Roy Green AM has been appointed to the board of Industry Capability Network’s National Office. Roy is Special Innovation Advisor at the University of Technology Sydney and former Dean of the UTS Business School. Roy has chaired the Australian Government’s Innovative Regions Centre, CSIRO Manufacturing Sector Advisory Council, Queensland Competition Authority, NSW Manufacturing Council and the Port of Newcastle. Currently, Roy chairs the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Hub and is a board director of CSIRO and SmartSat CRC. He has just completed a review of the Federal government’s Energy Industry Jobs Plan for the Net Zero Economy Authority. Professor Green said “I am delighted and honoured to be joining the Board of ICNL which is playing its part with the broader State-based network in delivering a Future Made in Australia.”

Board Chair Derek Lark said “The Board and I are excited to have Roy join us. His longstanding knowledge of, not only Australian manufacturing and industry in general, but also ICN from its inception to now, will be invaluable in helping with our strategic direction deliberations. He is a welcome addition to an already very strong team.”
